MICHAEL NEIS
General Manager
With more than fifteen years of sports industry experience, respected industry veteran Michael Neis joins the Main Street Baseball family as the first General Manager of the Modesto Roadsters – bringing Pioneer League baseball to the Central Valley at historic John Thurman Field.
His love and connection with Northern California baseball and providing guests with unique and exceptional fan experiences began early in his career; Michael spent seven seasons with the Oakland Athletics, including serving as the club’s Director of Membership and Premium Services.
From the A’s, he went on to serve as Regional Director of Sales for NASCAR, overseeing sales efforts for multiple tracks, including the iconic Talladega Superspeedway, before moving back to baseball.
In 2022, Michael was named General Manager for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays). Guiding both a major ballpark renovation and the creation of unique fan-centric areas, the Fisher Cats’ home ballpark, Delta Dental Stadium, was voted “Best Double-A Ballpark” by BallparkDigest in 2023.
Michael met his wife Jackie, a Manteca native and chemist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and in 2024 they and their growing family moved back to California’s Central Valley. Michael became General Manager of Sponsorship and Ticket Sales with the Pacific Tigers Athletics in nearby Stockton through Playfly Sports.
Happy to be back in the Central Valley, Michael is excited to forge deeper connections throughout Stanislaus County as the Roadsters look to establish themselves as the premier family and entertainment destination in Modesto.
Michael’s other past work experiences include serving as Director of Retention for the Milwaukee Bucks, and Ticket Services and Operations Director for the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League. A University of Minnesota graduate with a degree in Sport Management, Michaelis a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. He lives with his wife, children and beloved cat in Lathrop.
